Their father’s will has been stolen and hidden in Monmouth Castle. Unless it is found they will lose their home and land within days, The situation seems hopeless. As they face powerful enemies, plots and dark secrets come to light. A code in a spiral of tiles must be cracked. What will it reveal? Something precious. Could it be treasure?

Rooted firmly in the history of the Borderlands, The Bronze Mirror is a gripping adventure which marks the start of an intriguing new series, Spirals of Time.

Reviews:

Treasure, a quest and time travel - this story is sure to engage 9-12 year olds from the start. Twins, Tara and David and their cousin Simone, are whizzed back to the fourteenth century in a fast paced adventure set in the dramatic Monmouthshire countryside .

I particularly enjoyed the description of feasting and river travel by coracle,, and the way in which the topic of habit loss is seamlessly introduced. The sights, sounds - and smells of the fourteenth century are colourfully imagined , complete with knights, a banquet, and an urgent puzzle to be solved. I was hooked. Janine Amos, children's author

I liked how it was set in history and Monmouth.  While I was reading it I felt intrigued, excited, tense and hopeful.  I loved the bits with the archaeological dig and Harold's Stones  because it is actually real events in Monmouth.
